What You'll Need

44/45"-wide light- to medium-weight woven fabrics, such as quilting cotton, broadcloth, poplin, chambray, and linen:

  • 1 fat quarter for dog
  • 3⁄8 yd for cat
  • Fabric or felt scraps (or embroidery floss) for eyes and nose

Fiber stuffing

Plastic stuffing pellets (optional)

Coordinating thread

For dog and cat face, choose one, or use any combination of the following: 1) fusible web for raw-edge appliqué; 2) freezer paper and glue stick for needle-turned appliqué; 3) embroidery floss

For cat whiskers and mouth, embroidery floss
